How to read the Wix Site Speed dashboard
The Wix Site Speed dashboard shows two different things: how the site performed for real visitors over the past 30 days, and a simulated score from Google's PageSpeed test. Wix advises judging a site by the first. The second is for finding what to fix.

Two sections, two kinds of evidence
Wix’s dashboard has two parts, and they answer different questions.
- Real visitor experience: the Core Web Vitals recorded from people who actually loaded the site.
- Google PageSpeed simulation: an estimate from one simulated visit.
Real visitor experience
Real visitor experience is the half that matters. Wix collects it from every visit, in every browser, and shows an average for the past 30 days, for the whole site and page by page. Each measure carries a label set by Google’s thresholds: Good, Fair or Poor.
Two measures do most of the work. Largest Contentful Paint is how long the largest thing on screen takes to appear. Interaction to Next Paint is how quickly the page responds to a tap or click. Our guide to checking your website speed gives the marks for each.
The PageSpeed simulation
The simulation is Google’s PageSpeed test run on the page. Wix describes what it does: Google simulates a low-end mobile device on a slow connection and estimates a score. Wix adds that a low score here does not mean the site is underperforming for real visitors.
A simulated score is useful for one thing: its list of what is slowing the page.
Which to trust
Wix’s advice is to focus on real visitor data wherever a page has enough traffic to produce it. Treat the real-visitor figures as the verdict and the simulation as the diagnosis. A page labelled Good for real visitors with a middling simulated score is fine. A page labelled Poor for real visitors has a problem whatever the simulation says.
What the dashboard cannot show
The dashboard shows your site only. A ranking is a contest, and the useful comparison is with the sites beside you in the results. Google’s PageSpeed Insights tests any public address, so run your page and a competitor’s there, and compare the real-visitor section of each.
One difference matters when you do. Google’s real-visitor data counts visits made in Chrome, and Wix’s counts every browser, so the two figures for your own site will not match exactly.
What to do with the result
If the real-visitor labels are Good, speed is not what is holding the site back. If they are Fair or Poor, work through how to speed up a Wix website and read the dashboard again a month later.
Questions people ask
Why is my Wix PageSpeed score low on mobile?
The simulated test loads the page on a low-end phone over a slow connection, and Wix notes that mobile and desktop scores differ because of the simulated devices' processing power. Judge the site by its real-visitor figures, and use the simulated score to find what to trim.
Why does my Wix speed score change every time I test?
Wix says scores often fluctuate between tests, even one straight after another, because of the network and the load on the machine running the test. Run a test several times and take the middle result.
Why is there no data in my Wix Site Speed dashboard?
Wix shows site speed data only for sites that have had ten or more sessions in the last seven days. A quieter site has to rely on the simulated test.
Free competitor gap report
The dashboard shows your site and nobody else's. Name up to three competitors and we run their pages and yours through the same public tests, then send you how the real-visitor figures compare.
