SEO services, measured against your competitors.

We work on the view that search engines favour the page that answers the search best and loads without friction. We audit your site alongside the competitors above you, fix the technical faults, restructure and rewrite the pages that ought to answer those searches best, and build the content they are found for and you are not.

From £600

An audit of a site of up to five pages, the technical fixes, the rewrites and the markup, measured before and after.

What on-site SEO includes

  • Technical audit

A full crawl of the site: what search engines can reach and what is blocked, duplicated, slow or broken, listed in order of what it costs you.

  • On-page optimisation

Titles, descriptions, headings and copy matched to the searches each page should be found for.

  • Structure and internal links

Pages organised so the important ones sit close to the home page and are linked from the places that matter.

  • Structured data

Markup that tells search engines what each page is: a business, a service, a product, an article or an answer.

  • Content gaps closed

The subjects and questions competitors are found for and you are not, mapped and written as pages worth finding.

  • AI answer visibility

How ChatGPT, Google's AI Overviews and other answer engines describe your market, and which pages they draw on when they answer: measured, dated and recorded.

How the work runs

  1. Compare. Your site and the competitors above you are put through the same checks.
  2. Order. The differences are written up as a work list, with the changes that close the most of the gap at the top.
  3. Repair. Technical faults come first: what search engines cannot reach, what is duplicated and what is slow.
  4. Rewrite. Titles, headings, copy and internal links are reworked on the pages closest to answering their searches.
  5. Build. The subjects competitors are found for and you are not are written as new pages.
  6. Re-measure. The first step is repeated, and what was changed is reported beside what moved.

What you receive

  • The comparison of your site with the competitors you named.
  • The work list, in order of priority.
  • The changes themselves, made on your site.
  • A closing report: what was found, what was changed and what moved.

Why on-site work comes first

On-site SEO is the part of search you control completely. Links and reputation depend on other people and take time; the speed, structure and content of your own site can be put right now, and everything done later builds on it.

The work list comes from a comparison

A ranking is a comparison between sites, so the work begins with one. The Medusa instrument, which we built and run, puts your site and the competitors above you through the same checks, and the differences become the work list, ordered by what closes the most of the gap.

When the work is done the same checks run again, and you receive what was found, what was changed and what moved.

Questions about on-site SEO

How long does SEO take to show results?

Google says only that a change can take a few hours or several months to show, and advises waiting a few weeks before judging it. We give no timetable of our own: the timetable belongs to the search engines, which is why the work is measured before and after.

What is the difference between on-site and off-site SEO?

On-site SEO is everything on your own website: speed, structure, content and markup. Off-site SEO is what other websites say about you, mainly links and mentions. On-site comes first because it is fully in your control.

Can you improve a site you did not build?

Yes. Most SEO work is done on existing sites. It starts with a crawl and, where you grant access, your Search Console data, and the audit says what can be fixed in place and what needs rebuilding.

Free competitor gap report

The quickest way to see what SEO would change is to compare. Name up to three competitors who appear above you and we measure your site against theirs, then send you the gaps in order of importance.

  1. Speed and technical health, side by side
  2. On-page SEO and site structure
  3. The content they are found for and you are not
  4. Who holds the searches that matter in your market
  5. A prioritised list of what to fix first

What it costs

Prices exclude VAT and are where the work starts, not what a project costs. What yours costs is in the written proposal that comes with your free competitor report.

The figure moves with the size of the site, the state the audit finds it in, and how many pages need rewriting rather than correcting.
